On the practical problems and development strategies of RFID in China

Abstract: This paper expounds that the characteristics of the development of RFID in China lie in the huge market prospect and the demand and promotion of the government for this technology. In the development of Chinese market, local enterprises have the advantages of "geographical advantage" and "human harmony". A large number of foreign enterprises are optimistic about the Chinese market. Developing technology and exploring the Chinese market in China also plays a decisive role in the application of RFID in China. In China, there are still problems of unbalanced development, standards and costs between regions and industries. According to the average use of one bottle or box per person per year, the country needs more than one billion electronic labels every year. Coupled with reading and writing devices, servers, networks and supervision stations, this will be a very huge market. Although its investment scale is huge, it is not unbearable compared with the price of drugs and the harm of fake drugs and replicas to regular pharmaceutical factories. At present, it is not card technology that has a greater market prospect, but long-distance RFID identification technology for goods represented by EPC. Many enterprises that used to be based on card technology began to pay attention to RFID for item management. They are eager to transform their products. Taking this opportunity, Guangdong Province has successively organized the "Guangdong Hong Kong RFID industry alliance", "RFID Professional Committee of Guangzhou Electronics Industry Association" and "RFID technology support center" to promote the application and development of RFID technology in this region

Due to its active participation and investment, RFID has formed a strong industry in the United States. In China, the first enterprises to show enthusiasm are the integrators of electronic manufacturing industry and RFID automatic identification system. However, only manufacturers, lack of active participation of users, RFID can not form an industry. At present, in China, famous household appliance manufacturing enterprises Haier, famous retail enterprises Shanghai Bailian and Shanghai modern logistics, the logistics enterprise of Shanghai Bailian, have begun to implement RFID to manage the logistics supply chain. We have reason to expect a Chinese style "Wal Mart" among these enterprises and a logistics enterprise to build a modern supply chain for this purpose. 2. Problems of RFID development in China:

It pays great attention to RFID technology other than card technology, and has a trend of latecomers. However, other regions are relatively weak and backward in product development and application. The application of RFID in closed environments in China, such as ID card, access control and all-in-one transportation card, is generally successful, such as the municipal all-in-one card in Beijing and Shanghai, and the "Yuetong card" project in Guangzhou, with good results. However, in the open environment, such as pallet, container, supply chain and other applications are relatively backward. At present, there are not many successful cases in this regard in China

(3) the technical level in some fields of successful application is still quite low. At present, China's "all-in-one card" is mainly used in the field of transportation. Most of the time, it only serves as the function of electronic monthly ticket. Other functions such as paying water and electricity bills, gas bills, heating bills and so on are not available, and there is no real municipal all-in-one card

(4) the technology and products in the manufacturing field of components are still very low. As long as the price of the tag is far lower than the value of the commodity, and can be applied on a large scale, or the introduction of RFID system can improve the business process of the enterprise, reduce the input of human costs, and then improve efficiency, the cost problem will be solved

3 solve China's actual problems and formulate RFID development strategies
